Making the Most Out of Your Home Fragrance

Looking after your fragrance products is an important part of making the most out of your purchase. Whether it be candles, diffusers or wax melts, below are 5 easy steps we recommend you follow to ensure you make the most out of your home fragrance products.

Candles:

  1. REMOVE THE FOLLOWING - Any packaging, decorations, loose labels or ribbons before burning your candle
  2. TRIM THE WICK - Keep the wick to 5mm above the wax line. You can use scissors, but specially designed wick trimmers are better.
  3. LET THE WAX POOL - Each time you light your candle allow the top layer to pool. Do not burn for more the 4 hours to ensure the maximum life of the candle.
  4. BURN IT SAFELY - Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface. Keep away from children, pets and draughts. Never leave your candle unattended while lit.
  5. KNOW WHEN ITS EMPTY - When around 15mm of wax remains in the base of the container it is ready to refill, recycle or replace.

Diffusers:

  1. SELECT YOUR FRAGRANCE - With 12 different fragrances we hope there is a scent just for you that will suit your room, preferences or occasion.
  2. REMOVE PACKAGING - Remove the stopper of your diffuser and place in a secure location away from children and pets.
  3. ADD THE REEDS - Remove the string or ribbon holding the reeds together and place into the diffuser bottle. Wash hands immediately after touching.
  4. ENJOY SAFELY - Always place the diffuser on a mat or untreated surface. The oils in the diffuser can damage polished surfaces, soft furnishings and leather if placed without protection.
  5. KNOW WHEN ITS EMPTY - Once the bottle is empty, reeds can be disposed of in general waste. The bottle can then be refilled, replaced or recycled in your household recycle bin.

Wax Melts:

  1. SELECT YOUR FRAGRANCE - With 12 different fragrances we hope there is a scent just for you that will suit your room, preferences or occasion
  2. REMOVE THE FOLLOWING - any packaging, decorations, loose labels or ribbon before using you wax melts or wax melt burner
  3. FIND A SUITABLE CONTAINER - Aim to use a tea light or electric wax melt burner. If using your own burner, ensure that the surface used is heat resistant and flame retardant. Never light the wax itself.
  4. BURN IT SAFELY - If using a tea light to heat your wax, keep away from draughts. Always keep away from children, pets and flammable objects. Never leave wax melts or the burner unattended when lit.
  5. CHANGING YOUR WAX - Let your wax become warm but not hot. Remove the softened wax with kitchen towel or similar disposable tissue. Rinse the tray with soapy water and dry thoroughly before adding a new melt.
